thick cake, very strong compression, and small leaf grade. mild resin wood on dry leaf

  1. Light wash, clear, and thick. Wet leaf has mild aroma. Maybe some apricot
  2. Strong plummy juiciness and oily wood classic sheng taste. Rough astringency. Dark first steep, orange-red
  3. Solid orange, medium high thickness, comfortable mouthfeel and taste, astringent finish. More aggressive and concentrated taste than e.g. 7742 and not as sweet. Not as comfortable as 8582, and not as brassy as 7542. More of a dense astringent style.
  4. Alerting and intense, no head pressure but a bit jittery. Juiciness is gone already, It’s a bit rough, and strong, and I don’t think it really stands out much. It’s not bad though. The astringency is very consistent and rough.
  5. Fifth steep is bitter wood, grainy astringency, strong but maybe a bit unpleasant. It’s a bitter astringent style. 5 steeps max.
