Another cake from BYH, this time the 2005 Yiwu, with almost 20 years of storage in Taizhong. Beautiful dried fruit aroma on dry leaf. Interesting camphorous resin aroma on damp leaf.
Initial steep is particularly thick and viscous, with a gentle honey flavour, and very warming. Then it gets going with big juicy flavours, leather, lingering sweetness, woody incense. Beautiful incense resin on empty cup. Has some juicy astringency on the cheeks. long lasting effects. Focus, calm, crisp eyesight, slow breathing, warming. Later steeps continue to be quite thick, with a very gentle sweet plum taste, medium-light astringency, and with a feeling of great depth after swallowing. Strength continues into the late steeps, good longevity. Very nice looking material. Toadskin leaves. 8.3
